TimeWinder Nostalgia Festival focuses on the golden years of Denmark’s industrialization, from 1875 to 1975. Actually, the end of the period coincides with the early months of 1976 (officially the 1st of April), when they started phasing out the use of black enamel license plates on Danish-registered vehicles. So, the TimeWinder world stops “the good old days” here. It is true that unique vehicles and mechanisms have been created after this date, but the appreciation of those will be left to others to celebrate. A priority that seeks to be enforced with the politeness and responsiveness it requires.
The intention is that guests, as well as enthusiasts, will be able to take a trip “down memory lane”, and experience the development of mechanics from 1975 and backwards in time; the TimeWinder team gives it everything they’ve got to make that possible. Additionally, the Groennessegaard area makes it possible to host both plane and ship exhibitors. TimeWinder – nostalgia by land, sea, and air!
Some mechanical things can be so rare or beyond our ability to obtain an original version of, that we choose to include so-called replicas or newly built things based on original drawings – for history's sake!
